Getting To Know One Another

When you come in to see us, we hope that you have an incredible experience. We want to make sure to get to know you and understand your oral health goals. Prior to your appointment, you will receive a welcome email with directions to the office. You will also get a confirmation text with a link to our new patient forms. We ask that you fill these out ahead of time to maximize your appointment time with the doctor.

To start, you’ll be greeted by our team at the entrance. They’ll help you fill out any forms that you weren’t able to complete prior to the visit. They will show you through the office and point out critical areas in the office.

When you get to the treatment suite, you will be met by one of our amazing dental assistants who will help you get started with a series of x-rays and a 3-D scan of your mouth. This sets the baseline for us to begin the examination.

Next, you’ll meet one of the dental hygienists. Dental hygienists’ primary responsibilities are to clean your teeth, but they do so much more. They will ‘chart’ your mouth, meaning they will document the current state of your mouth to best understand the next steps as it relates to cleaning your teeth.

When they’ve finished the documentation of the current state, the dentist will come in to start your exam. We’ll start with a conversation so you can let us know if you have any concerns or if you have any aesthetic desires. Then we will lean you back and look in your mouth while comparing what we see in your mouth to the x-rays and the scan. After we finish our exam, we will have a conversation about any findings and what happens next.
